What is ad channel tracking?
Post Affiliate Pro offers your affiliates an advanced tracking tool for maximum optimization of visitor traffic.
Your affiliates can use ad channel tracking (sometimes also called SubID tracking) to test the best placement for affiliate program banners, or for monitoring the performance of their ad channels sending traffic to your affiliate program.
How can channel tracking be useful?
Custom channel IDs can be added to your ad code to help track ads. These can be created under Promotion > Ad channels.
After creating some channels, you can use them in your affiliate links. Links can be customized by adding chan=CHANNEL_CODE.
The channel can also be selected on the Banners & Links screen, and will be included in all generated banner codes. The channel information will also be transferred to the referred commission, so you will know exactly which link led to the commission.
It is possible to use the same affiliate link for multiple advertisements. By creating a unique channel for each advertisement you can determine which ones have a better conversion rate and are more effective.
Reports on custom channels can be found in the Reports > Channel stats report section. The gathered data will allow you to compare the performance of these channels.
